Meet Susana M. Mojica, LMT

I decided to become a massage therapist after experiencing firsthand how movement and bodywork helped me recover from a car accident. It was my second accident, and while my injuries weren’t severe, I quickly realized how much even minor trauma can affect the body. Having dealt with intense low back pain in my early 20s, I had already learned that strength training and flexibility work played a huge role in my recovery. When my pain resurfaced after the second accident, my doctor encouraged me to continue training with caution, and I was amazed at how quickly I bounced back. That experience solidified my fascination with the body’s resilience and the role of movement in healing. I wanted to learn more—not just for myself, but to help others build a stronger relationship with their bodies through self-care and massage.

After completing massage school, I had the opportunity to work at the very clinic where I received treatment. There, I spent countless hours working with car accident patients, refining my skills, and learning from both my mentors and my clients. Over time, my focus became clear: helping people regain mobility, ease pain, and feel at home in their bodies.

Beyond massage, I’m working on building a more consistent active lifestyle. I enjoy movement in different forms, whether it’s strength training, cycling, or running, and I’m always looking for ways to challenge myself. Movement has played a huge role in my own recovery and well-being, and while I’m still finding my rhythm, I believe in the power of staying active and taking care of my body.

When I’m not working or training, I love exploring new places, connecting with my community, and continuously learning about the human body. I also find joy in tending to my plants, caring for my two adorable cats, and spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking through the trees or simply soaking in the peacefulness of the rain. Being in water is meditative for me, whether I’m in the ocean, taking a bath, or swimming in a pool. And no matter what the day brings, chocolate is always my favorite treat!
